Alumni Association
As a past student of Borders College you are entitled to have the opportunity of remaining part of our College community by becoming a member of the Borders College Alumni Association.
During your time studying with us you were one of our most valuable assets and, as a result of all your hard work and commitment, you have enhanced not only your own reputation but that of the College too.
So what is the Alumni Association?
Put simply, it’s just the opportunity for former students to reconnect with their College and remain in touch with what’s going on within the College community and with each other. It’s also the chance for you to share your experience, knowledge and suggestions, and offer support to the new generations of students following in your footsteps and choosing to kick-start their future by studying at Borders College.
Who can join the Borders College Alumni Association?
Whether you are a recent graduate of the College or completed your studies in the past at either Borders College or our former Galashiels College of Further Education, Henderson Technical College in Hawick or the Agricultural Centres at Duns or Newtown St Boswells, we would welcome re-establishing contact with you through our Alumni. To be eligible, you will have studied on a full- or part-time basis and successfully gained a recognised qualification over a period of 36 weeks or more, including work-based students and block or day release apprentices.
Why would I join the Borders College Alumni Association?
It’s your chance to remain part of one of the most successful community colleges in Scotland and help support and shape its future. We know from your time studying with us that you have what it takes to be a success and, through sharing your experiences and telling us what you are doing now, you will provide inspiration and support to current and future students.
