This course will provide candidates with opportunities to enhance their game-playing skills, organise and compete in E-Sports events, regionally and nationally, and develop the essential digital skills that are required in the modern-day working environment. By undertaking this course candidates will be provided with a bespoke gaming studio to undertake their course work along with being provided with an area that allows them to prepare and practice in an engaging environment. Throughout the course, candidates will develop the digital skills to progress along our multi-disciplined computing pathway at Borders College.

Entry requirements

Applications should have 3 relevant National 4 qualifications or equivalent (preferably including one of Maths, Computer Science or Physics)Applicants with no formal qualifications will be considered on an individual basis and their applications or enquiries are encouraged.Previous relevant experience would be beneficial but is not essential as the candidate's skills would be developed on this course.

Application and Interview Process

Applications will be reviewed by the curriculum team and candidates will be invited to interview to follow up on the information contained within to confirm suitability. A full, detailed personal statement is important at this stage. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to ask further questions about the course and college support services at the interviews.
