Modern Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare - (SCQF Level 6)
The Modern Apprenticeship in Social Services and Healthcare is a work based qualification delivered by direct observation, and the production of a portfolio of evidence. Candidates are assigned an assessor who will support them through the delivery of this Modern Apprenticeship.
Qualifications
The course comprises of 4 mandatory units and 2 optional units. The units cover the following areas: Health, safety of yourself and individuals, support the safeguarding of individuals, effective communication, develop your practice.2 optional units can be chosen from a range of options suited to the work place. To achieve the Modern Apprenticeship candidates must also achieve 5 core skills at SCQF Level 5 in Communication, Working with Others and Problem Solving and SCQF Level 4 in ICT & Numeracy.
Delivery
At your workplace - our Borders College Assessor will guide you every step of the way, visiting regularly and providing personalised tutoring and support. College premises in the Borders and other venues are often used for meeting up, or to access computer and library facilities. Start dates are all year round. We work with people individually therefore start dates are negotiable.
