Green Recovery Supply Chain
The aim of the project is to encourage innovative schemes to support local economies by investing in skills training, supporting business growth and encouraging individuals to grow and develop, becoming more resilient and sustainable.
#Prosper
As part of the Community Renewal Fund Borders College has developed a programme of training to support entrepreneurship and business development. Covering a range of subjects from book keeping to sustainable procurement, participants can sign up for as many or as few courses as they wish.
To support the Green Recovery agenda, we are also offering a programme of 3 courses to enable participants to become Carbon Warriors, understanding their carbon foot print and how to monitor carbon within their business, home or organisation.
Key aims will include:
1. The future College & Partner collaboration needed with existing local sole traders and micro businesses to deliver the work that will be forthcoming as we move to net zero.
2. Encourage new enterprises to add to the capacity across the Borders, possible incentivised by a training fund.
3. Support & encourage small businesses work collaboratively to deliver larger contracts.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund.
The UK Community Renewal Fund is a UK Government programme for 2021/22.
