Congratulations are in order for two candidates who recently completed their SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare qualification.

Aja Njie and Dorothy-Joyce Millicent Arnott, both originally from Gambia and South Africa, respectively, work at Castle Crags Care Home in Edinburgh. Their continued commitment to learning has been instrumental, and colleagues have recognised their achievements.

Lorna Mcloughlin, a colleague of Aja and Dorothy-Joyce, said:

“Aja and Dorothy-Joyce are dedicated support workers who put the service users at the heart of everything they do. We are so proud of them both for taking the next steps and achieving their qualification in such a busy service. Well done!”

Borders College Assessor Hannah Inglis said:

“I want to congratulate them both again on the achievement of their awards and for all the hard work they have put in. It was so lovely to see them both in practice and their wonderful relationships with the service users they support. It’s also been great to see them developing their skills and knowledge in social services and ICT.”
