EIS-FELA is the trade union for lecturing staff at Borders College. As a result of a national pay dispute, they have asked their members at Borders College to take strike action on the following dates:
- Tuesday 28th May 2024
- Thursday 30th May 2024
- Friday 31st May 2024
During this period, Borders College will remain open and provide learning for the vast majority of our students. However, a minority of lessons may be disrupted. If your lesson is affected, a member of the college staff will inform you.
When classes are unavoidably cancelled, students are welcome to use the library services at the Scottish Borders Campus.
If you are receiving a bursary and your lecturer is on strike, please be assured that this will not impact your payments.
As always, keep up to date with your college work, and particularly any outstanding assessments, as these will be marked.
