Our Business curriculum at Borders College covers a broad range of subject areas, including marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship and business operations, so a strong interest in these disciplines is essential.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and learner focused individual to support the delivery of Business units within our department. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high quality learning, teaching, and assessment that enables learners to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and professionalism required to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further and higher education. We are seeking someone with industry relevant knowledge and practical experience who can help learners understand current business practices and employer expectations across a range of sectors.
You should be currently qualified to at least SCQF Level 9 in a Business related subject.

Our Essential Skills curriculum supports learners to develop the transferable skills required for success in education, employment and everyday life, covering Communications, Numeracy, ICT, Working with Others and Problem Solving. A strong interest in supporting learners to build confidence, resilience and practical skills across these areas is essential.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and learner focused individual to support the delivery of Essential Skills qualifications within our department. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality learning, teaching and assessment that enables learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress into vocational programmes, apprenticeships, employment or further study. We are seeking someone with relevant knowledge and experience who can contextualise learning, making it engaging, meaningful and applicable to a wide range of curriculum areas and career pathways.
You should be currently qualified to at least SCQF Level 7 in a relevant subject area and have a commitment to supporting learners with diverse backgrounds, abilities and aspirations.

Borders College is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Instructor(s) to join our team, delivering and supporting commercial short course provision within our Rural Skills department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to further education and is looking to contribute to a progressive and innovative organisation.
We are particularly interested in hearing from but not exclusively, candidates who are approved and experienced in delivering LANTRA-accredited training and assessment in one or more of the following areas:
Chainsaw Operations
ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle)
Pesticide Application
Tele-handler Operations
Brush Cutting
Use of Small Plant Machinery
Applicants should hold relevant industry qualifications and certification in their specialist areas, together with current LANTRA approval and demonstrable industry experience or able to demonstrate high level of competency to deliver Borders College certificated provision.
We are looking for an individual with a genuine passion for further education, who is motivated to support learners in achieving their goals and eager to embrace new challenges within a dynamic learning environment.
